Increased stability for the race tail (fiberglass or carbon) when used with the OEM BMW subframe.
When using the OEM subframe, the tail section was previously attached to the subframe under the seat plate with only two bolt connections. The aluminum bracket provides a significantly more stable connection by adding two additional contact points between the tail and the subframe.
