The alpha Racing assembly tool locks the front sprocket in place during installation and removal. Acting as a sprocket holder, it clamps between sprocket and swingarm and prevents the sprocket from turning while the sprocket nut is loosened or tightened. Sprocket changes can be carried out safely and without a second person, in the workshop as well as in the pit box.
Application
The fitting direction determines the function: inserted from above, the sprocket nut can be tightened. Inserted from below, it can be loosened. The tool rests against the swingarm and holds the sprocket by its teeth.
Adjustable for different distances
The distance between sprocket and swingarm depends on sprocket size and the position of the swingarm pivot, e.g. with an adjustable swingarm pivot. If the distance is too large, the tool can be extended: after loosening a hex socket screw, the side part is rotated and then fixed again. This ensures secure clamping even with a larger gap.
Suitable for all sprocket variants
The tool works with 520 and 525 sprockets in all tooth counts available for the S 1000 RR (K67) and M 1000 RR (K66). Different distances resulting from sprocket size are compensated by the adjustable length.
Material and weight
The tool is made of aluminium and weighs 100 g. It replaces the previous, non-adjustable assembly tool.
